Shanequa Is Somewhere Laughing

Rapper 50 Cent claims to have lost millions in the recent stock market crash. 50 says, "Pushing (the album) back was to position myself a little better. I've lost a couple of million dollars already. I sit with my investors and business managers and accountants, looking at the numbers and I'm like, 'Yo, the values of stocks in different areas are decreasing.' So I take loss like everyone."

Yea so have plenty of other people, but he didnt lose his total fortune some people have in this recession.

@10:22
I would also invest in Apple, they've been in the black for so long and have zero debt and their stock is always rising inch by inch.

If microsoft's plan for "cloud computing" pays off someone can cake off of their stock in the near future.

Government bonds seem the best to me. Sometimes cash is better in the hand than a risky investment with minimal gain.

He came in this game...made millions of dollars and invested.

Him speaking out about his loss shows that he is constantly on top of his money!!!

I would never give the government money, bonds are not a good idea now with the value of the dollar depreciating or fluctuating.

True wealth doesn't come from money, it comes from possessions that appreciate with value, this is what seperates the rich from the wealthy. You think the Hiltons, Rockefellers, Rothschilds, prince and princesses got money sitting in a safe somewhere? Of course, not.

Now, I don't have enough to invest, just yet, but I have my eyes on stocks like Coca-Cola, Wal-Mart, Mattel. It has been proven, in times of financial widespread hardship, things of leisure, such as movies and other forms of cheap entertainment always do well, because people are looking to escape. So stocks with those qualities always prevail.

ING is giving like 2.75% percent right now, down from about 5% 18 months ago. I say only invest what you can afford to lose right now, unless you have alot. Otherwise, CDs and high intreast savings accounts are the way to go.

Camesha makes good points too. I would add that it's a good thing to keep some cash around. Your appreceiating assests are good only if you can make them liquid if you would need cash. Martha Steward, billionaire, had a bit of a cash flo problem when she was being tried.

thanks, chic. Shout out to ING. my mum has been working for them for 20 yrs now and it's a excellent company to give your money to and work for.

Their savings account interest rates are incredible and they have great mortgage rates too.

NO problem Camisha, you really did the thing. There are a few other high intreast rate banks out there. I think one is HSBC, they sometimes pay higher intrest than IMG. IMG also had/have a promotion, where they give you 25bucks just for opening an account.

Oooh, I love all of this talk about investing! For those of you who have "doubts" about a lack of funds, check out this book titled, 'Nickel and Dime Your Way to Wealth' by Deobrah Owens. The book is only 97 pages long, and it's very easy to follow. This book, in my opinion, will give you the "courage" to step up and say, 'I'm going to invest!' It's all a matter of you willing to sacrifice certain things and using that money to purchase shares of stock.

Look for it online. I'm pretty sure you can find it on Amazon.com.

Oh, and to stick with the topic of the thread, it doesn't matter how much money 50 loses, Shaniqua will still be broker than him, in more ways than one.

You are all a bunch of idiots if you think the market will come back. It won't. But they will tell you it is. You see, the shell game has nearly collapsed. Its like the last breath, it will be strong but it won't last. Have fun if you can.

Wow. I always did admire your wisdom. Thats a very old saying and it goes to the point of ^^.

Look up Oklahoma - black wall Street. We know how to do the thing, but it was beat out of us through all the bullshit. We use to own coalmines, banks, hospitals, post offices, jets, we shopped in Paris for the fine linens. We built this.

But the bullshit is about to hit the fan when Obama gets into office. Its so obvious, but let me give you a clue. The market is artificially manipulated - google PPT Team. enough said - good night.

You can tell he don't give a damn what mofos say about him; he gone wear his shit ANY way. All hail the emperor in his new clothes...

Great job, Malika. Good luck to you!

@Chic Noir, I have an ING acct. I love it, because it accrues interest like crazy. I put money in and forget about it. I've already earned almost $100 in interest so far this year. It definitely adds up.

Speaking of adding up, if you empty your change into a jar and cash it in months or even years later, that money really adds up. I have a water cooler jug that I dump change in when I empty my purses or when I find change while cleaning my house. I've had it for years. When I finally cashed it in at the bank, it was a little over a thousand dollars. I paid for a one week vacay to Barbados with nickels and dimes, literally. lol

Word up, I do strictly CDs, mahDelf. It's just smart. Even if you only have a little cake, you can put it into a CD and borrow money against it. It's literally like you're paying yourself. Niggas need to be a lot more interested in learning how to USE money to make more money, rather than just it bein' all about makin' money. There's a lotta knowledge out there that rich people don't want us "peasants" to know, man. Gotta go get dat shit and then apply it to your life and make pimp decisions to help it grow or at least keep be there for ya youngins. Little sacrifice, still have fun, and da shit makes life a lot more stress-free.

Some muhfugga said money can't buy happiness, but I know one thing: Money can damned sho' SECURE HAPPINESS.
