Every time I think about Bernie I get a tear on my heart for him and his family. It's like he was part of my family, a dear friend.

I am truly sadden.

You know what's pathetic about this video? It's the fact that Cedric was the only one who stayed in contact with the family while Bernie was in the hospital. Steve's sorry azz was in Chicago and didn't call nobody. DL was in Vegas and by his own admission he received a lot of calls about Bernie but didn't even pick up the phone and call Rhonda...damn shame....

Cedric was a true friend, and most importantly, he 'gave the flowers' while the man was still alive, unlike the other 2. Like Richard Pryor and George Carlin before him, his comedic talents cannot be touched and he is so, so missed...

This was really nice. I didn't even know they were going to be on there. Why wasn't Steve in the studio with them...too "big time"?? Cedric and DL seemed really heartfelt with what they were saying, no comment on Steve and the fact that he was right in Chicago and mentioned TWICE he was having breakfast at a restaurant, so what, you could go see your friend in the hospital and have breakfast there or something?? Steve is a pompus ass who's gotten too big meanwhile DL & Cedric have remined humble. Bernie was my favorite comedian! RIP..

I love Ceddy too. I really dont know what to make of SH it was not very obvious he was estranged from BM but after reading the different sites and things his answers on LK show were vague and all about the Kings Tour, not much on a personal level. It seemed like Ced and DL went to honor the man, and Steve went to honor the tour I was waiting to see what he was gonna say when Larry asked how long it had been since they spoke with him. I could see DL not communicating with him on a regular, Ced had a relationship with him to the end but Steve "i got a radio show to promote" Harvey it is really clear he regrets his marriage busting up and how he treated his wife he keeps bringing it up in little ways how his marriage didnt work - maybe because he was in it.

Lets see if Steve go to the memorial. I do really believe he has alot or regrets in his life and I am sure whatever transpired earlier between the two men forgive and forget is the name of the game.

I'm a Lary King fan now. What a beautifil tribute. I love Bernie like family, my kids love his tv show. He will be missed. He was famous, but so down to earth. A real family man, like someone you would know, and love to run into. God Bless the Mac family, like Clooney said" Heaven just got a bit funnier".

Its good to see how he transcends cultural barriers and EVERYONE is showing him love cuz that's the kinda person he was.

Its important to empower your people, but it's more important to empower your fellow human being.

On Larry King, Steve Harvey said that after the shows, Bernie Mac would go home to his family while Cedric The Entertainer, DL Hughley and himself would go to the after parties. It was funny because DL, said, "thanks man."
He said that he was know going to hear it from his wife.

I had no idea that Ashton K was going to appear on the LK show as well to pay respect to Bernie Mac. That was a great show.

Bernie is a legendary comedian and actor. He was a family man and he held it down with his wife for all of these years. What man does that these days. A very small percentage.

He will never be forgotten. RIP!

That was really very well done, I am glad that Larry King did it. Everyone seemed incredibly sincere.

Lesson in point if you hear someone is not doing well, dont assume they are going to make it. At least make a call, check on them.

@9:23- I think at one point Bm and Ced had a slight falling out because of what ced said about Dr. King and Rosa Parks in the Barbershop movie. but it's good to know that they made up.

BTW, Snoop said F Malcolm X on an episode of mad TV.

Bernie Mac....
It took me a minute to watch the Bernie Mac Show after I heard the news, and then when I watched it, I studied every move he made, every smile when he laughed at the kids, Bernie Mac was the man and he carried Chicago on he's back.....
He will be missed, Thank you God for giving us Uncle Bernie......

o81508 i haven't seen the tribute yet , i'm just listening to every one 's op. we need to remember that we don't always know what everybody's going thru or how they deal with different situations. try to understand more and save all the judgement for the one true judge.

Bernie Mac will be missed, dearly. He was a humble man. It's ashame that BET didn't honor him for his work and another network (CNN) did. The tribute was beautiful

Uncle Bernie was an original. And will be missed. The tribute was perfect, we may have all loved him, but God loved him best. You never know what anyone is going thru, but the more you hear you know he was blessed beyond money and fame. God truly kept him through it all. He's probably making them all laugh in heaven. God Bless U , Uncle Bernie!!!!!

Gosh this was so sad but really really good. I still can't believe he's gone though. I can't believe how big all the kids from the show are! Especially the youngest.

Man, I feel like he was part of my family.
I haven't been this sad since Aaliya's passing...
