Yes, he WAS a cocaine addict, but has been clean and sober for over three years now. He is a Church-going, God-fearing Christian now and has the support of his entire family and that is a lot of people. Some of you should be so lucky to have that kind of support.(I know you need it,trying to deny your drug abuse)
Yes, El was arrested, but he was NOT arrested for domestic abuse. In an interview El,himself gave...he cleared up the rumors about domestic violence. He said that since he was on probation for all the years he was on cocaine and finally was caught using etc., he had gotten sober, was getting more jobs and appearances, his career was starting to begin again, and because of some concerts/appearances, he missed wto appointments to visit with his P.O. and because it's the P.O's job to report him for not showing, he did. El was arrested in the early morning hours, with no incident, and was released shortly after.
I think he should be commended on all his hard work, his contributions to the music world, and for being a good, loving father to his kid. El is a beautiful man, and I look forward to the day I should meet him. For the rest of you haters/gossipers/paparrazi wannabe's, look upyour facts before you go onto a forum and bash anyone.

i am 5'7" tall i used to be 120 pounds until the age of 24 years old when i got into bodybuilding, 130 pounds for 5'9" is ok, some guys are naturally lean, almost no body fat, it's not because of drugs, or not eating, just not overeating carbs, sweets, sugary drinks, alcoholic beverages (i don't drink and i've never drinked alcohol in my life, maybe El has always abstained from alcohol), sugar, flour and fattening shit, and eating healthy just because most people are overweight in the usa, 5'9" and 130 pounds sounds "too skinny".
Michael Jackson is 5'11 and only weighs 120 pounds, according to his arrest file, now that is all bones, because he's 5'11" he doesn't eat.

If everybody who keeps writing on this page watch the t.v. show "unsung" you will hear the story of the DeBarge family, it came on last night and will probably be on again the weekend or on Monday night. The Father is white and was abusive to the mother when she had only 8 of the kids, for some reason she stayed and had 2 more, Bunny was molested by her father from age 7-13. El was my boy. And yes he does smoke rock, and drink, and take somas, and anything else unhealthy. He was loosing his mind before he went in. He was on the run. I know he tried to kill me a few times, and did some really messed up things...but believe it or not, I love this brother, and I see nothing but good for his future. He is incredible talented (and gay, but that's another story) It feels so good to talk about him because I miss him and love him. I hope his family learns from his mistakes and gets the fuck out of Reseda and back home to stardom,if not stardom, then health. I am saddened by the revelations of the turmoil and history of the family behind the colorful clothes, big hair and fantasy land of fame and stardom...all that glitters isn't gold but God is a real SUPASTAR and healer!We are so quick to judge...what I pray for all his children, family, fans and "haters" is for undertanding and compassion and empathy.
