classic bipolar sign. they often have long stretches of normal even exemplary behavior and then regress again. after that sighting i'm more convinced that she IS mentally ill and self-medicates with illegal substances.

Not to be jumping on the band wagon, but where my friend hangs she is a known meth head, and every thing else. He says that she looks real bad. He said that she called one of his friends house and said that if you don't give me money for my hair and nails. then i am calling the police. I guess they honored her request. She is supposed to be rapping under the nail cali and constantly looking online for work as a actress but looking real busted.

Who cares about what Maia Campbell is doing? Maia was a pretty woman with no acting talent who was a D-class celebrity like 10 years ago. Today it's 2007 and I'm shocked that people talk about her and even remember her.

They are lying to you. She has fallen off considerably, and she has MANY MANY issues to deal with. She is too far gone and stubborn to ever get back on track. Her late mother BeBe Campbell (god rest her soul) is not around anymore and she was her one and only sole supporter & tried EVERYTHING with Maia, from rehab, to getting her away from the l.a. scene (of coke and sex everday)to vacaying on the Vineyard for the summers. Maia's step dad can care less about her. She & her 6 y.o. daughter are literally on there own with no support and she can careless. Maia has no repesct for herself which has caused people to distance themselves from her, including me. She lives a very lonely, depressing life. No one can change her, she has to be willing to change on her own, first. I feel for her. smh.
I'm wondering since her old sitcom is in syndication is she at least getting money from the re-runs?
I saw the naked photos and the video ...And as some-one who has some-one in his family with a drug habbit; I feel for the girl ..I dont understand why anyone who calls himself a black "MAN" would want to put this women out there..why not reach back and give her a hand???

I never knew her mom was Bebe Moore Campbell! Maia has a daughter?! Poor child is obviously grieving! Watching a loved one die of cancer is amongst the worst! Try not to judge her, and help if you can...You never know when YOU'LL be in need of helping hand!
Clearly we all heard and have seen what has happened to her.... having such a big tragic loss in your life to someone so close to you creates something like this to happen to someone who doesnt know how to cope with hard situations, and doesnt have any other way of coping with difficult situations. All this thst happened to her is all connected to her condition, only if this is true facts. She probably didnt realize what she was doing until she was aware of her doings. I'm pretty sure she regret all this happenin to her but this is something beyond her control. Now instead of fuckin criticizin her and sayin dumb shit that dont matter, someone who cares and can do somethin about it need to help her instead of using what she did as a fucking excuse to use gossip towards her. Damn imagin if that was you. you will expect help if you didnt realize what was happenin to you, think about it...this doesnt define who she is neither should it make her infamous either may the lord bless her.....
It is so sad because whats happening to her happens to a lot of people. I always thought she was so pretty and smart. You dont find a lot of people like that. For some its worse because they have no way out. I feel for her and i hope she gets better. May God Bless her.
i think she was one of the most beautiful people in the world in my opinion but lets realize for a second here in life we as gods creatures make mistakes and some of those mistakes you cant shake back from and some you can he who is without fault please shoot yourself in the head we always talking about people and we really dont know what is going on inside of people just cause you would not do it are we all the same i have a lot more to say but no place to put it signed im trying to make it before i take it.god bless

Sad to hear this. She is no doubt grieving. Heard she and her mom had a tumultuous relationship. she probably needs to downsize( get one bedroom apartment, sell car and get a hoopty, get the basic house bills, no cable, stop trying to keep up with the crowd, get counseling services, go back to school even if its online, get in a good church, love her child and just concentrate on her. I've been on the financial skids and downsized so I know this works! You just have to put your mind into survival mode. Trust it will be temporary if you do this and haters will see you rise again! But was she in her mom's will? what about her child? We need to learn to invest our money while we got it so when times like this happen, we can fall back and we need to teach our kids how to manage in rough times, it can be done! I'm a testiment to that! Hope she finds some work, even if its commercials, voice overs, gospel plays, try out for a Tyler Perry movie, work on a movie set, become a stylist, or become an agent for others, etc., relocate if she can, even try to work at the local news station, something girl. If she's hooked on drugs, what about the welfare of her little girl?
