Ha, ha, that's funny. Her rep throws a handful of trinkets on the table and says, "See? This HER stuff. Ipso facto, she could not have been robbed." That proves nothing. That junk could be anyone's. Even if it IS hers, so what? Maybe she wasn't wearing those things at the time of the mugging.
