yazmar! I'm talking about voices. Keisha will probably not have the same great succes that Mary. Mary is a living legend. She's the best R&B/soul artist of her era. But when you look at most of the mainstream female R&B singers out there none of them have that typical raw gospel voice (Like mary) except for Keyshia Cole. Keyshia reminds me when it comes to voices of a young Mary. Keyshia hasn't been in the game for a long time, she's still a pretty new artist. Give her some time and hook her up with great song writers and producers and she will have a great future. I can definitely see her deliver a lot of great true soul songs in the future.

She writes her own shit. She has written and coproduced for everyone from Aretha Franklin to Brian McKnight. She has sold millions of records, had a list of hit singles, won several accolades and known the world over as a LIVING LEGEND in the world of contemporary R&B. That is pretty impressive for someone who "can't sing." Beat it with that nonsense.
And to even say that Keyshia is a better singer than Mary is ridiculous. Mary has range. KEYSHIA DOES NOT. Did you see her recording "Last Night" with Diddy on her show? He asked her if she would sing in falsetto and she said I CAN'T DO THAT. WTF? How can you not have a falsetto? Mary is a better singer than Keyshia on her worst day. All Keyshia can do is belt, and even that is debatable.
And as far as her being the next Mary is concerned, I think she is worthy of having that for now. THE FACT THAT PEOPLE ARE EVEN SAYING SHE IS THE NEXT MARY CLEARLY SAYS A LOT ABOUT BOTH OF THEM. If MARY can't sing neither can Keyshia, and if Mary is a living legend, Keyshia must be on the right path. She has the same appeal to the girls that Mary did/does. But Mary was revolutionary. But as far as fucking for tracks....don't be stupid. Keyshia didn't have any major producers on her first album other than Kanye and Krucial Keys. AND I KNOW FOR A FACT that her label MADE her go record with them because they did not like the initial version of the album. Both of those songs flopped, but Keyshia proved she could get people interested in her. She sold over a million copies of her album because she WORKED. And people respect her for that so NOW she is able to get the bigger names because the label has more faith in putting out that money for her.
And ummm you know Mary aint fuck for no tracks. Get real. Again, her debut didn't have any major producers, and both she and Diddy have said that they didn't even TALK to each other until he ended up getting control over her and Jodeci's projects. Mary didn't even work with anybody outside of her in house producers until her third album. And at that point she had already proven herself as a staple in R&B music so she didn't have to fuck no damn body.
