Pac Man Out For 07 Season
The NFL ain't playing ya’ll. Adam "Pac Man" Jones has been suspended for one year without pay following his latest dust up with the law. That's $1,292,500! Pac has been interviewed by police 10 times for various incidents including a shooting at a Las Vegas strip club that left one man paralyzed from the neck down. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, in a letter to Pac said, "Your conduct has brought embarrassment and ridicule upon yourself, your club, and the NFL, and has damaged the reputation of players throughout the league. You have put in jeopardy an otherwise promising NFL career, and have risked both your own safety and the safety of others through your off-field actions. In each of these respects, you have engaged in conduct detrimental to the NFL and failed to live up to the standards expected of NFL players. Taken as a whole, this conduct warrants significant sanction."His mother was quoted as saying "I just pray that this can be changed. This is not fair for him. It's just not fair."

He may or may not be an idiot but he hasn't been convicted of anything. I think its wrong for someone to get suspended from their jobs for something that may have happened when he wasn't working or representing his company. I can't imagine all of the people who would get suspended for doing dumb shit while they are out in the clubs or whatever. He needs to go to the players union and appeal.

to "work is so boring" are you slow? Professional atheletes sign a contract that stipulates what they can and cannot do outside of their employment. For example, most are not supposed to ride motorcyles, they are not supposed to carry weapons, they are not supposed to engage in illegal activity. This clown has been arrested 9 times. Not once, not twice, not three times, but 9 times. There were ALOT of people there that night and EVERYBODY saw him slam that girl's head into the floor and beat that girl up like the Chicago Police beat up innocent female bartenders. That girl was about 100 pounds and 5 feet tall, and this big ass amazon whooped her just because HE was trying to show off by dumping out a garbage bag full of money and she grabbed some but he didn't want anybody touching his money. He was yelling, I'm gonna kill you to her and the bodyguards and saying he was coming back with his gun, and he did, and now people are hurt. Pacman is a asshole, plain and simple. Don't nobody go to jail 9 times for NOTHING. Nobody, I don't care what anybody says. He needs to get locked the fuck up for what he did. I just hope his celebrity does not get him off like R. Kelly. You probably think Kels shouldn't go to jail for raping and peeing on 13 year old girls because "they let it happen" right? Stupid

Okay anon 10:46 no I'm not stupid and I'm not dumb enough to get into an argument with some anonymous person sitting behind their computer screens either. I have an opinion and you have an opinion. I don't follow everything that man does off the field, okay he has be arrested nine times but how many times has he been sent to prison? I think he should be allowed to a fair trial just like every other American is entitled to before he's suspended. I know their are moral clauses in every contract but if they were that concerned about him breeching that clause then he would have been suspended the first time he was arrested, not the ninth. As far as R. Kelly is concerned, I'm one of the ten people that has never seen the tape (I'm not into child porn) so I really can't comment on that.

Well, all I can say is 'it cost to be the boss'. Pacman had actions that was unbecoming of a NFL player (his choice) NOW he can not play. I just want to ask him, 'was it worth it'.

On July 13, 2005 Jones was arrested on charges of assault and felony vandalism stemming from a nightclub altercation.
On September 5, 2005 Jones was a guest at the annual Nashville Sports Council Kickoff Luncheon. After a loud verbal tantrum when he was told to wait in line for his vehicle later that evening, Jones was counseled by the police. He also refused to pay for any valet services used that evening.
In October 2005, in a petition filed by the State of West Virginia, it was alleged that Jones had not made regular and sufficient contact with his probation officer and that he did not report his July arrest in Nashville in a timely fashion. The court ordered the probation extended for a period of 90 days, although the state requested it to be extended one year.
On August 25, 2006, Jones was arrested in Murfreesboro, Tennessee for disorderly conduct and public intoxication after claiming that a woman stole his wallet. She claimed that she did not steal anything and Jones spat on her. Police officers said they ordered Jones to leave several times, but he refused, continuing to shout profanities at the woman. A judge granted him six months probation on the conditions that he stays out of further trouble and away from the nightclub.[3]
On October 26, 2006. Jones was cited for misdemeanor assault for allegedly spitting in the face of a female student from Tennessee State University during a private party at Club Mystic, a Nashville nightclub. He was suspended by the Titans for one game and was scheduled to be booked on the charge on November 17, 2006.
Also, on November 12, 2006. Jones was arrested for sucker-punching Latino fans after the Tennessee Titans game in Oakland.
It just dawned on me that this guy is from College Park, GA. I guess you can take the guy out of the hood but can't take the hood out of the guy. Maybe with the time off, he would be able to get his priorities together.
Hey, PacMan is an interesting individual. I did some work for him last year, and I must tell you the brother is a fuse just waiting to be lit..., every minute of every second. He's a guy who's very much on edge and easy to provoke. I honestly don't think he can control himself and participate in normal civilized discourse. Don't know if it's a deficit in personal learning, understanding or intelligence or simply a "primal" thing that motivates this dude to do these dumb things. On the other hand, he can be a caring and gentle person, one who dotes on his mother and child and who tries really heard to "take care" of a large number of childhood friends (hey, the dude's only about 23) and family. It's really unfortunate the he can't seem to get a grip on the demons that want to dominate his life. If he does ---and I sincerely hope he does--- life's going to be so much better for him. A hell of a lot more boring, but better! And, of course, much more lucrative. If not, he's going to be just another brother in 5 years hangin' out on the south, east or west side of the "A" livin' life as a "has-been", broke, broken, and desperate! And that my friends, would really suck!

Mother's like his have sons like him. No logic or reasoning go into the thought process. How about teaching your children when they're young that there are consequences for everything in life and you should accept responsibility for what you do. As for her comment "it's just not fair"...she should be referring to the poor guy who's paralized for the rest of his life. That's not fair.
His mom's was in jail most of his life. She's the reason he is like he is. Now she want to talk about what's not fair. Making your son have to raise himself, that's what's not fair.
